Annual Rate Contract for O&M Services for NCR GAS O&M ... - GAIL

2.0 ORDER OF PRECEDENCE
In the case of ambiguity in schedule of rates, Special Conditions of Contract, General
Conditions of Contract, Scope of work etc., the following order of precedence will prevail:
a) Fax of Intent / detailed Letter of Award alongwith statement of agreed variations and
its enclosures and any corrigendum / addendum.
b) Schedule of Quantities / rates alongwith the preamble.
c) Special Conditions of Contract
d) Specifications, special notes to tenderers regarding specifications (if any) and
drawings all in conjunction with each other. However in case of any variance
in size, thickness / dimentions of members between drawings and specifications
etc. then drawings shall prevail over specifications.
e) General Conditions of Contract.
3.0 Definitions
3.1 The expression ‘Vendor / Contractor’ shall mean the bidder selected by the employer
for the execution of the subject work and shall include the successors and permitted
assigns of the Vendor.
3.2 The ‘Engineer-in-Charge’ shall mean the Engineer-In-charge’ the GAIL for this project
and shall include any person acting as in charge on his behalf.
3.3 ‘Authorized Representative’ shall mean any Officer/Supervisor /consultant/ Staff of
GAIL authorized by the Head of Department.
3.4 Where any portion of the General conditions of Contract is repugnant to or at
variance with any provision of special conditions of contract, the provision of
Special Conditions of contract shall be deemed to over ride the provisions of
General Condition of Contract and shall to the extent of such repugnancy of
variation prevail.
4.0 LOCATION OF WORK:
4.1 The work is to be carried out at the places where services will be required are
identified as work points. The total region has been divided into 10 (TEN)
work points. Jurisdiction of various work points have been defined in Annexure .
The actual site could be anywhere in TEN Work Points under NCR Gas O&M .
4.2 The services will be provided based on the organizational requirement as assessed
and identified from time to time.
5.0 OWNER’S SCOPE OF SUPPLY:

5.2 Consumables for doing day today maintenance jobs
