administration/inspection charge thereof, wherever applicable, in respect of the
personnel deployed by him relating to the work of GAIL.
30.8 The contractor shall ensure and will be solely responsible for payment of wages and
other dues latest by 7th of the following month to the personnel deployed by him
in the presence of Engineer-in-charge or his representative. The contractor shall
be directly responsible and indemnify the company against all charges, claims,
dues, etc. arising out of disputes relating to the dues and employment of
personnel deployed by him.
31.0 PENALTY CLAUSE:
31.1 Non-attendance of technical maintenance work as specified in the tender document
scope of work clause 4.0 will attract a penalty of 01% of total monthly
amount of the Contractor .
32.2 In case of unreasonable delay in attending the maintenance points the Engineerin-charge
can get the work done/maintenance points attended by other party at
the risk and cost of the contractor. The expenditure along with extra 15% shall
be deducted from the bill of the contractor and paid to the concerned party
directly if the contractor fails to make the payment within time given by Engineerin-charge.
32.3 Non-provision of providing operation services in a shift will attract a penalty of
Rs.200/- per shift per day in addition to non-entitlement of payment for the
shift.
32.4 Non-provision of providing Assistance services in General duty as specified in the
tender document scope of work clause 2.0 will attract a penalty of Rs.200/- per
day in addition to non-entitlement of payment for that day.
32.5 The decision of the Engineer-in-charge/site –in-charge will be final and binding to
the Contractor in this regard.
33.0 PRICE BASIS:
33.1 The quoted rate shall be firm and valid till the complete execution of the order. No
escalation on what-so-ever account shall be paid under this contract.
33.2 All charges such as wages, insurance, EPF, ESI and other statutory payments
admissible to the contract laborers, as applicable, should be considered while
quoting the rates..
33.3 The rates should be quoted in the schedule of rates as enclosed.
33.4 Bidders are advised in their own interest to visit office and ascertain the conditions
and quantum of work before quoting.
