45.1 Successful bidder has to submit CPBG equivalent to 10% of total order value valid for 27 months from the start date of contract. CPBG has to be submitted within 15 days of LOA. 46.0 Statutory Compliance with Labour / Industrial Laws: 46.1 The contractor shall regularly submit all records/documents in this regard to EIC nominated by GAIL for verification and upon such satisfaction only. GAIL shall release the monthly bills payable to the contractor. He shall submit copy of challan in proof of payment of the PF contribution of eligible employees . 46.2 The contractor shall ensure and will be solely responsible for payments of wages and other dues both by 7th of the following month to the personnel deployed by him. The same shall be verified both by the GAIL representative before processing the contractor’s bill for payment. The contractor shall be directly responsible and indemnify the Company against all charges, claims, dues, etc. arising out of disputes relating to the dues and employment of personnel deployed by him. 47.0 Insurance The contractor shall prove to the OIC/EIC from time to time that he has taken out all the insurance policies required as per contract and GCC clause and he has insurance policy under the workmen compensation ACT-1923 and paid the necessary premium for keeping policy alive upto the completion of work. In case he fails to take the insurance policy as described above, action shall be taken by the OIC as per contract of provision. The insurance shall protect the contractors against all claim applicable under workmen’s compensation Act,1923. contractor shall arrange necessary insurance cover for any person employed at GAIL premises even for short duration.
