The fuel efficiencies calculated for these two 100-mile duty cycles correspond to one observation in each of the distributions shown in Fig. 72 to Fig. 75, respectively. Both correspond to freeway duty cycles; the first one representing operation under free-flow traffic conditions and the second one includes some traffic congestion intervals. The fuel consumed during these real-world duty cycles was used to compute one observation of the fuel efficiency for the two tire combinations. 89
