8. OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES<br />

8.1. Generic EDAQ Procedures<br />

This section provides general in<strong>for</strong>mation on how to run a test and upload<br />

data.<br />

8.1.1. Running Tests<br />

NOTE: These procedures make use of completed test setups (.tce<br />

files). Refer to the previous sections <strong>for</strong> instructions on setting up<br />

these files. This procedure begins with all power and sensor<br />

connections made. The computer should be on and connected to the<br />

eDAQ with TCE V3.86d running.<br />

Initializing a test<br />

1) Open a completed setup file.<br />

a) Press Ctrl+O (or go to File > Open)<br />

b) Choose the appropriate setup file and click Open.<br />

c) Activate the Test ID / Network Setup window and read/update<br />

the Test ID as necessary.<br />

2) Press Ctrl+2 to initialize the test. The eDAQ’s yellow LED will<br />

begin blinking slowly.<br />

3) The first run may be started at this point, or the eDAQ may be<br />

turned off.<br />

Viewing Live Data – anytime after starting a run<br />

1) Press Ctrl+0 to open the Test Control Panel<br />

2) Click RT Display.<br />

a) Click Setup.<br />

b) Select up to 16 transducer channels (at a time).<br />

c) Choose Digital Readout as the Display Mode (usually<br />

recommended).<br />

d) Click OK.<br />

3) When finished, click Quit or close the window.<br />
