the eDAQ can be finalized. This section details the procedures to prepare a<br />

test setup so the eDAQ may be used to collect data.<br />

7.2.1. Loading EDAQ Databases<br />

NOTE: This procedure requires that the eDAQ be on with all Vehicle<br />

Bus Modules connected as a minimum. If at all possible, all sensors<br />

should be connected as well. In order to configure the hardware, the<br />

appropriate database and/or firmware must be loaded.<br />

1) Load all necessary databases onto the computer from the<br />

Databases, Setups, and Scripts CD.<br />

a) Copy the AirWeigh database to the specified location:<br />

C:\Program Files\SoMat\Tce_eDAQ_3.86d\Vbus_db\J1708\Air<br />

Weigh_Alone.txt<br />

b) Copy the VBOX database to the specified location:<br />

C:\Program Files\SoMat\Tce_eDAQ_3.86d\Vbus_db\CAN\VBO<br />

X_and_Volvo.txt<br />

2) Copy the database files to the eDAQ.<br />

a) Open the eDAQ web page (http://192.168.100.100).<br />

b) Click on Hardware and select Vehicle Bus Module (VBM_1)<br />

from the list.<br />

c) Add the database <strong>for</strong> the AirWeigh.<br />

i) Click Edit Parameter Databases and click J1708.<br />

ii) Click on Copy New File to eDAQ.<br />

iii) Click on Browse to find and open<br />

C:\Program Files\SoMat\Tce_eDAQ_3.86d\Vbus_db\J1708\<br />

AirWeigh_Alone.txt.<br />

iv) Move the cursor to the end of the Destination path on<br />

eDAQ and type AirWeigh_Alone.txt.<br />

v) Click on Copy To eDAQ and click OK at the confirmation<br />

message.<br />

vi) Click the Up arrow to return to the Edit Parameter<br />

Database interface.<br />

d) Add the database <strong>for</strong> the VBOX and Volvo.<br />

i) From the Edit Parameter database screen (Hardware ><br />

Vehicle Bus Module > Edit Parameter Database), click on<br />

CAN.<br />

ii) Click on Copy New File to eDAQ.<br />
