Hadlow Railway Act 1863<br />

9.102 The Hadlow Railway Act 1863 190 was passed to authorise the Hadlow Railway<br />

Company to construct a railway in Kent, between Hadlow and Ightham. On 28<br />

April 1876, however, a Board <strong>of</strong> Trade warrant was issued ordering that the<br />

railway should be abandoned. 191 The railway company itself was wound up in<br />

September 1879. Accordingly the 1863 Act has become obsolete.<br />

Ribblesdale Railway Act 1864<br />

9.103 The Ribblesdale Railway Act 1864 192 was passed to authorise the Ribblesdale<br />

Railway Company to construct a railway between Whalley in Lancashire and<br />

Giggleswick in North Yorkshire. On 10 October 1868, however, a Board <strong>of</strong> Trade<br />

warrant was issued ordering that the railway should be abandoned. 193<br />

Accordingly the 1864 Act has become obsolete.<br />

Helston and Penryn Junction Railway Act 1864<br />

9.104 The Helston and Penryn Junction Railway Act 1864 194 was passed to authorise<br />

the Helston and Penryn Junction Railway Company to construct a railway in<br />

Cornwall, between the parishes <strong>of</strong> Helston and St Gluvias. On 2 April 1868,<br />

however, a Board <strong>of</strong> Trade warrant was issued ordering that the railway should<br />

be abandoned. 195 The company itself was wound up the following year. 196<br />

Accordingly the 1864 Act has become obsolete.<br />

West Grinstead, Cuckfield, and Hayward’s Heath Junction Railway Act 1864<br />

9.105 The West Grinstead, Cuckfield, and Hayward’s Heath Junction Railway Act<br />

1864 197 was passed to authorise the West Grinstead, Cuckfield, and Hayward’s<br />

Heath Junction Railway Company to construct a railway in West Sussex. On 28<br />

June 1872, however, a Board <strong>of</strong> Trade warrant was issued ordering that the<br />

railway should be abandoned. 198 The company itself was wound up later that<br />

year. 199 Accordingly the 1864 Act has become obsolete.<br />
