Petersfield and Bishop’s Waltham Railway Act 1864<br />

9.106 The Petersfield and Bishop’s Waltham Railway Act 1864 200 was passed to<br />

authorise the Petersfield and Bishop’s Waltham Railway Company to construct a<br />

railway in Hampshire, between Bishop’s Waltham and Buriton. On 28 July 1868,<br />

however, a Board <strong>of</strong> Trade warrant was issued ordering that the railway should<br />

be abandoned. 201 Accordingly the 1864 Act has become obsolete.<br />

Luddenden Valley Railway Act 1865<br />

9.107 The Luddenden Valley Railway Act 1865 202 was passed to authorise the<br />

Luddenden Valley Railway Company to construct a railway in the parish <strong>of</strong><br />

Halifax in West Yorkshire. On 26 September 1870, however, a Board <strong>of</strong> Trade<br />

warrant was issued ordering that the railway should be abandoned. 203<br />

Accordingly the 1865 Act has become obsolete.<br />

Skipton and Wharfdale Railway Act 1865<br />

9.108 The Skipton and Wharfdale Railway Act 1865 204 was passed to authorise the<br />

Skipton and Wharfdale Railway Company to construct a railway in North<br />

Yorkshire, between Broughton and Linton. On 17 December 1868, however, a<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Trade warrant was issued ordering that the railway should be<br />

abandoned. 205 The company itself was wound up the following year. Accordingly<br />

the 1865 Act has become obsolete.<br />

Coventry and Great Western Junction Railway Act 1865<br />

9.109 The Coventry and Great Western Junction Railway Act 1865 206 was passed to<br />

authorise the Coventry and Great Western Junction Railway Company to<br />

construct a railway in and around Coventry. On 2 September 1870, however, a<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Trade warrant was issued ordering that the railway should be<br />

abandoned. 207 Accordingly the 1865 Act has become obsolete.<br />

Deal and Dover Railway Act 1865<br />

9.110 The Deal and Dover Railway Act 1865 208 was passed to authorise the Deal and<br />

Dover Railway Company to construct a railway in Kent, between Deal and Dover.<br />

On 2 March 1871, however, a Board <strong>of</strong> Trade warrant was issued ordering that<br />

the railway should be abandoned. 209 Accordingly the 1865 Act has become<br />

obsolete.<br />
