Limerick and North Kerry Junction Railway Act 1865<br />

9.115 The Limerick and North Kerry Junction Railway Act 1865 219 was passed to<br />

authorise the Limerick and North Kerry Junction Railway Company to construct a<br />

railway in County Limerick and County Kerry in an area now falling within the<br />

Republic <strong>of</strong> Ireland. However, the railway was abandoned in 1879 and the<br />

company itself was wound up on 14 June 1879. 220 Accordingly the 1865 Act has<br />

become obsolete.<br />

Saltash and Callington Railway Act 1865<br />

9.116 The Saltash and Callington Railway Act 1865 221 was passed to authorise the<br />

Saltash and Callington Railway Company to construct a railway in south<br />

Cornwall. On 7 September 1869, however, a Board <strong>of</strong> Trade warrant was issued<br />

ordering that the railway should be abandoned. 222 Accordingly the 1865 Act has<br />

become obsolete.<br />

North Kent Railway Extension Railway Act 1865<br />

9.117 The North Kent Railway Extension Railway Act 1865 223 was passed to authorise<br />

the North Kent Railway Extension Railway Company to construct a railway in<br />

Kent, between Gravesend and the west bank <strong>of</strong> the Medway opposite<br />

Sheerness. On 16 April 1869, however, a Board <strong>of</strong> Trade warrant was issued<br />

ordering that the railway should be abandoned. 224 The railway company itself was<br />

wound up later that year. 225 Accordingly the 1865 Act has become obsolete.<br />

Berks and Hants Extension Railway (Extension) Act 1866<br />

9.118 The Berks and Hants Extension Railway (Extension) Act 1866 226 was passed to<br />

authorise the Berks and Hants Extension Railway Company to construct a<br />

railway between Urchfont and Westbury in Wiltshire. On 9 October 1869,<br />

however, a Board <strong>of</strong> Trade warrant was issued ordering that the railway should<br />

be abandoned. 227 Accordingly the 1866 Act has become obsolete.<br />
