Dunlap Drive, located between Lake Front Avenue and Lake Dunlap.<br />

8ACKGROUND/RA TIONALE:<br />

The subject right-<strong>of</strong>-way is the eastern portion <strong>of</strong> Dunlap Drive, 0.182 acres, located<br />

east <strong>of</strong> Lake Front Avenue extending to the shore <strong>of</strong> Lake Dunlap. The 40.02 by 200<br />

foot right-<strong>of</strong>-way is unimproved. The applicant owns the adjacent property to the<br />

northwest and John Scanio owns the property to the southeast. The two property<br />

owners are interested in purchasing the adjacent halves <strong>of</strong> Dunlap Drive right-<strong>of</strong>-way to<br />

incorporate into each <strong>of</strong> their properties. Each half <strong>of</strong> the right-<strong>of</strong>-way is 20.01 feet wide<br />

by 200 feet long.<br />

An appraisal was conducted at the <strong>City</strong>'s request. The appraised value <strong>of</strong> the 0.182<br />

acres as developable land is $70,000. If approved for abandonment, the property will<br />

be required to be platted simultaneously with the purchase <strong>of</strong> the property.<br />
