We, the undersigned, registered voters and residents of the neighborhood commonly referred to
as Mission Oaks, believe in preserving the quality of life enjoyed by New Braunfels residents
through appropriate traffic flow management and protection of pedestrians. Such management
should include input from residents directly affected by traffic in their residential neighborhoods.
With this petition we wish to expresses our concern with the growing traffic in the area
surrounding the intersection of Highway 46 West and Loop 337. Our neighborhood which does
not have sidewalks has become dangerous to pedestrians.
• The new HEB store, and its related WestPointe development, has increased the traffic in
the area resulting in increased commuter traffic through our residential neighborhood
roads.
• The New Braunfels Christian Academy is located at 995 Mission Hills Drive at the
intersection of Mission Hills Drive and Kerlick Drive. Parents and elementary school
students routinely walk in the street on Mission Hills Drive and Kerlick Drive.
We, the undersigned, petition the City of New Braunfels to install two additional stop signs at the
intersection of Mission Hills Drive and Evergreen Road making the intersection a four ( 4) way
stop. This action will help preserve public safety and health by controlling the flow and speed of
the traffic in and through the neighborhood.
