Dry Coma I Trail (outside Loop 337)
As development extends south along 1-35, there is a opportunity to develop a trail along the south portion of
the Dry Coma I corridor to serve existing and future residents. This trail can connect Solms Park to the existing
Dry Coma! Nature Trail and the Loop 337 Little League Baseball Fields. The recommended width is 10 feet.
Benefiting Sector(s): Southwest
Low Cost Range: $1,500,000
High Cost Range: $2,500,000
Priority Level: Medium to long term
Proposed Trail Surface: Asphalt or concrete in flood prone areas (because of potential for flood damage).
Crushed granite is possible in non-flood prone areas.
Length: 3.3 miles +/-
Potential Funding Sources: general fund, certificates of obligation, revenue bonds, naming rights, sponsorships,
TPWD grant opportunity.
