Dry Coma I Trail (outside Loop 337)<br />

As development extends south along 1-35, there is a opportunity to develop a trail along the south portion <strong>of</strong><br />

the Dry Coma I corridor to serve existing and future residents. This trail can connect Solms Park to the existing<br />

Dry Coma! Nature Trail and the Loop 337 Little League Baseball Fields. The recommended width is 10 feet.<br />

Benefiting Sector(s): Southwest<br />

Low Cost Range: $1,500,000<br />

High Cost Range: $2,500,000<br />

Priority Level: Medium to long term<br />

Proposed Trail Surface: Asphalt or concrete in flood prone areas (because <strong>of</strong> potential for flood damage).<br />

Crushed granite is possible in non-flood prone areas.<br />

Length: 3.3 miles +/-<br />

Potential Funding Sources: general fund, certificates <strong>of</strong> obligation, revenue bonds, naming rights, sponsorships,<br />

TPWD grant opportunity.<br />
