ORDINANCE NO. 2010 ----
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 86 SECTION 86-2, 86-9, 86-91 , 86-95,
86-96, 86-97 AND SECTION 86-98 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS REGARDING PARK USAGE FEES;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; CONTAINING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the fees park use are currently set both by ordinance and by staff; and
WHEREAS, the need to amend certain fees has arisen; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation staff is recommending authorizing that fees
be set as recommended by the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and approved by
the City Council in the budget to set certain park usage fees;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEW BRAUNFELS, TEXAS:

THAT Chapter 86 Sections 86-2, 86-9, 86-91, 86-94, 86-95, 86-96, 86-97and 86-98
are hereby amended by repealing Sections 86-2, 86-9, 86-91 , 86-95, 86-96, 86-97 and
86-98 and adopting new Sections 86-2, 86-9, 86-91, 86-95, 86-96, 86-97 and 86-98
which shall read as follows:
Sec. 86-2 Park Use Fees
(a) Fees will be charged for certain p1cmc areas, pavilions, gazebos, Landa
RecreationCenter, paddle boats, mini-golf course, City Tube Chute and Landa Haus
as indicated on the attached Parks Fee Schedule.
(b) Fees must be paid in advance and/or at time of reservation .
(c) Reservation fees may be refunded with prior notice of cancellation. Handling fees
will be assessed.
(d) Certain reservation fees will require resident and non-resident fees.
(e) Beginning with fiscal year 2011 -2012, fees will be reviewed annually by the Parks
and Recreation Advisory Board and approved by the City Council by adopting any
new or revised fees as part of the budget.
