Communication is fundamental to good management. Indeed, communication should be<br />

seen as a purposeful business activity to enable the organization to achieve its objectives<br />

smoothly and the individuals who work for it to give their best work to the organization.<br />

6.0 SUMMARY<br />

Communication is the means by which social inputs are fed into the social system. In its broadest<br />

sense, the purpose of communication in an enterprise is to effect change that is, to influence action<br />

toward the welfare to the enterprise. Communication is essential for the internal functioning of<br />

enterprises because it integrates the managerial functions.<br />
