1.9.6 Feedwater Heater and Feedwater Heater Drain Modifications
Replacement of Feedwater Heaters CDHE3A and -38
o Prepare a feedwater heater specification
o Prepare an EC to purchase two new third point feedwater
heaters
o Prepare an EC to install 2 new third point feedwater
heaters
Evaluation of the existing feedwater heaters
o Characterize the condition of the existing feedwater
heaters that will remain in service
o Establish a monitoring program following EPU
implementation for these feedwater heaters
Heater Drain Valves HDV-101, -102, -103, and -104,
o Prepare a valve specification for the first point heater drain
valves
o Prepare an EC to purchase four new first point feedwater
heater drain valves
o Prepare an EC to install four new first point feedwater
heater drain valves
Heater Drain Valves HDV-247, -248, -249, and -250
o Prepare an EC to replace the piping upstream of Heater
Drain Valves HDV-247, -248, -249, and -250 with piping
with a higher pressure and temperature rating.
1.9.7 Secondary Services Closed Cycle Cooling System Modifications
Perform an evaluation to determine the maximum capacity and
cooling flow of the secondary cooling heat exchangers based
on existing space limitations. Perform an evaluation to
determine the maximum flow by replacing the SC pump
impellers and motors.
Prepare a new specification for the Secondary Cooling Heat
Exchangers 1A and 18
Prepare an EC to purchase hvo new SC heat exchangers
Prepare an EC to install two new SC heat exchangers
e Revise Secondary Cooling pumps and motors, SCP-1A and -
1 B specification
Prepare an EC to purchase two new SC pump impellers and
motors
Prepare an EC to install two new SC pump impellers and
motors
