• Book Order – Select which BookFilter queues are made available for view/proofing in the Books list. <br />

• TouchConsole Settings – See below for more information. <br />

Touch Console Settings <br />

Default job viewing and touch screen navigation options can be configured using the Touch Console Settings. There are <br />

two tabs – TouchConsole and SoftProof: <br />

Touch Console <br />

• ScrollBar – Enable or disable the scrollbar and set the default side it <br />

appears on (Right or Left). <br />

• Thumbnails – Enable or disable viewing thumbnails for Publications, <br />

Jobs or All selection lists. <br />

• View – Enable or disable View Imaged (default), View Rendered <br />

and/or View Flipbook options for opening jobs or publications for <br />

softproofing. Note: If only one of the View Images or View Rendered <br />

is selected, the Touch Console button will simply be labelled “View”. If <br />

all options are disabled, View Imaged will be selected as the default <br />

option. <br />

• Button Size – Set the size of the Touch Console buttons in mm/inches. <br />

Note: The Touch Console application must be closed and restarted for settings to take effect. <br />

SoftProof <br />

• Entry Screen on Load – Select the control screen the Touch Console will default to when loading a new <br />

job/page: <br />

o Main – The console defaults to the Main screen on <br />

load. <br />

o Navigate – The console defaults to the Navigate <br />

o<br />

screen on load. <br />

Pages – The console defaults to the Show Pages <br />

screen on load. <br />

• Navigate Option – Choose whether the Navigate console <br />

screen has the Previous Page/Next Page or Zoom In/Zoom <br />

Out buttons. <br />

• Duplicate Page Settings (Veripress/Blackmagic Softproofing <br />

Add-­‐On Only) – When viewing a publication with duplicate <br />

(purple) pages, choose from these page load options: <br />

o Manual Select – When a page with duplicates is selected in the Show Pages screen, the page to view <br />

must be manually selected. This is the default mode of a non-­‐Veripress Touch Console. <br />

o Select Newest Page – Useful in publishing workflows where page updates/revisions are common. This <br />

option will automatically display the latest version of the page. <br />

• Publication Load Page (Veripress/Blackmagic Softproofing Add-­‐On Only) – Set the page to be viewed on load <br />

when viewing a publication from the following options: <br />

o Manual Select – When a publication is selected for softproofing the Touch Console opens and the Show <br />

Pages screen allows the user to select the page to be viewed <br />

first. <br />

o<br />

First Available Page – Publications are loaded on the first <br />

available (lowest numbered) page. <br />

• Edit Touch Console UI – Opens an Edit Interface window to allow for the <br />

configuration of the enabled (visible) buttons for control of SoftProof in <br />

the Main screen of the Touch Console. <br />

Enable or disable buttons by selecting them. Those disabled will appear <br />

with a red cross and will be excluded from the Touch Console when <br />

using it to view softproofs. <br />

The Toolbar has a Preview checkbox to see how the Touch Console <br />

controls will appear and a Reset button to restore and enable all <br />

buttons. <br />
