Abstract:<br />

The Final Year Project is a self-independent creative assignment, which is fulfilled under the supervision of a<br />

research lecturer and if necessary, under the guidance of a research consultant. Its objective is to enable the<br />

students to show the accumulated knowledge and skills during their studies for the purpose of achieving the<br />

objectives and tasks of the Final Year Project and presenting their creative development successfully in front of a<br />

board of examiners.<br />

The state exam is held in front of the State board of examiners in accordance with the approved conspectus,<br />

which includes main topics from all the fundamental courses.<br />

Course content:<br />

The Final Year Project contains: calculation explanatory note – it includes all the main literature data, ideas,<br />

existing solutions, analyses, calculations, explanations and conclusions; the graphical part includes principal<br />

electrical circuits of knots, devices, block and structure circuits, graphical dependencies from experiment tests of<br />

developed devices; a developed model or device by the final year student, if this is part of the assignment. The<br />

model development is the final stage from the design work of the final year student.<br />

Teaching and assessment:<br />

The supervising Department of Electronics provides: the organization connected with collecting, confirming and<br />

announcing of theme suggestions for Final Year Projects; the distribution of the students per theme and their<br />

research supervisors; the diploma practice organization; the guidance, review and presentation of the Final Year<br />

Projects.<br />

Weekly tutorials with the research supervisors are envisaged for the students. Then the process of the fulfillment<br />

of the given assignment is monitored.<br />

The final year student presents the Final Year Project or takes the State exam in front of the State board of<br />

examiners.<br />
