Abstract:
The course aims at familiarising the students with the theoretical and practical aspects of fuzzy systems. They give
basic knowledge of fuzzy logic, fuzzy set theory and their application in the decision making and games theory.
Fuzzy controllers are discussed in the conditions of computer aided simulation.
Course content:
Basic fuzzy set theory. Relations, connectors and operators on fuzzy sets. Linguistic variables and terms. Rule
base. Fuzzy systems and their application in decision making and games theory. Basic structures of fuzzy
controllers. Typical fuzzy controllers. Elements of computer-aided development and simulation of fuzzy control
systems.
Teaching and assessment:
The lectures consider the theory of the fuzzy logic, sets, theory of decision making, games theory and controllers.
The practical sessions are conducted in a computer lab. The students acquire knowledge and skills necessary for
solving individual tasks in this field.
0586 Business Modelling Systems
ECTS credits: 3
Weekly classes: 3lec+0sem+0labs+3ws
Assessment: exam
Type of exam: test
Abstract:
The course gives the students opportunity to apply acquired knowledge and skills in economics, software
engineering and programming environments in modelling and simulation in the field of business.
It has input relationships with the courses: “Economics”, “Software engineering”, “Programming languages”, “Data
bases”, and “Information systems” and has output relationships with the theses project.
Course content:
Company information system: architecture, features, user requirements. Marketing subsystem: methods, models,
and database. Subsystem for investment and crediting: methods, models, ands database. Financial-accounting
subsystem: methods, models, and database.
Teaching and assessment:
The lectures on each topic include: basic concepts, input/output data, business diagram, decision making models
for specific problems, as well as the architecture of the corresponding subsystem. The practical exercises are
reduced to problem solving with EXCEL as well as to demonstration of the corresponding subsystems,
implemented by means of the programming environment DELPHI. The results from each exercise for each student
are assessed by the assistant. The final mark is formed as an average of the practical exercises and a test on the
lecture material marks.
