His work exp<strong>and</strong>s across a range <strong>of</strong> topics in education, <strong>and</strong> he is particularly interested in <strong>the</strong> creative tensions between analytical <strong>and</strong> continental approaches to philosophy. He is editor <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Journal <strong>of</strong> Philosophy <strong>of</strong> Education. Jean Paul Van Bendegem is full pr<strong>of</strong>essor at <strong>the</strong> Vrije Universiteit Brussel where he teaches courses in logic <strong>and</strong> philosophy <strong>of</strong> science. He is director <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Center for Logic <strong>and</strong> Philosophy <strong>of</strong> Science (www.vub.ac.be/CLWF/) where ten researchers are currently working.
