<strong>the</strong> search to <strong>the</strong> German TLD "de."<br />

~ site: restricts results to a specific <strong>web</strong>site or domain, excluding specific toplevel<br />

domains. You must search on a second-level domain for site to work.<br />

May be used with or without keywords.<br />

Examples of how to use <strong>the</strong> site: command:<br />

[site:amazon.com] finds www.amazon.com.cards.amazon.com.<br />

www.amazon.com/dvd/. However, it will not find www.amazon.com.br.<br />

[site:ir] does not find <strong>the</strong> pages from <strong>the</strong> Iranian (.ir) top-level domain.<br />

However, [site:gov.ir] does find all <strong>the</strong> pages from <strong>the</strong> Iranian government<br />

domain indexed by Exalead.<br />

[site:federalreserve.gov "statistical data"] finds all <strong>the</strong> pages at <strong>the</strong> Federal<br />

Reserve <strong>web</strong>site indexed by Exalead containing <strong>the</strong> phrase statistical data.<br />

~ filetype: restricts results to PDF, MS Word, and o<strong>the</strong>r filetypes. May be used<br />

with or without keywords. Exalead converts <strong>the</strong>se o<strong>the</strong>r types of files to<br />

HTML, making <strong>the</strong>m safe to view. Select [I'RElI1£W] to see <strong>the</strong> HTML version.<br />
