Refers to all stories which take place in an alternate<br />
timeline wherein Xena forgets/pretends/be<strong>com</strong>es/is Xena,<br />
a warlord and goes on to conquer kingdoms, etc. Hercules<br />

"Costume play." To go to a convention or a<br />
roleplaying event dressed up as a favorite<br />

In anime/manga a darkfic is especially a tale from a<br />
