Local Services
When a customer requests local services from a provider to be used in conjunction
with its authorized telecommunication services, the customer should prepare and
forward to the provider the appropriate service request order forms. The applicable
field entries should be completed in the prescribed manner as covered in the ASOG.
Local services are broadly categorized as:
• Interconnection
• Local trunking - service composed of a trunkside switching termination
connecting a facility configuration to the customer location. Use the Trunking
form to order these services.
• Unbundled network elements (UNEs) - any facility or equipment used to
provision a telecommunications service and its features, functions, and
capabilities. UNEs include end office switch trunk ports, tandem switch trunk
ports, unbundled multiplexing, and unbundled interoffice transport. These
services may connect two ILEC switches, an ILEC switch to a CLEC point ofinterface,
a CLEC point-of- interface to a central office, or a point-of-interface
to a point-of-interface. To order these services, use the Transport or Trunking
form depending on the element being ordered.

Wireless Services
When a customer requests wireless exchange services from a provider to be used in
conjunction with its authorized telecommunication services, the customer should
prepare and forward to the provider the appropriate service request order forms. The
applicable field entries should be completed in the prescribed manner as covered in
the ASOG.
Wireless exchange services are broadly categorized as trunkside services. Use the
Trunking form to order any wireless exchange services.
