Note: The coverage ratio is derived from the division of the allowance for loans and
lease losses balance by the balance of operations more than 90 days overdue.
The NPL ratio of credits more than 90 days overdue (NPL-90)
decreased 30 and 60 basis points from the previous quarter and
the first quarter of 2012, respectively, and represented 4.5% of our
credit portfolio at the end of the first quarter of 2013. These
reductions were influenced by an improvement of 30 and 80
basis points for companies from the previous quarter and from
the first quarter of 2012. For individuals, this ratio decreased 20
basis points from the previous quarter and remained steady
when compared to the first quarter of 2012.
