POWER PLANT TYPE- The value here determines the type of power plant (propulsion system) used in the aircraft. The selection in the value column also determines the parameters available for adjustment when referencing the power plant options. To change the Power Plant Type, click on the existing power plant in the value column. From the drop-down menu, select the new power plant desired. Your choices are: • Electric Motor - for electric-powered aircraft. • Internal Combustion Engine - for gasoline and nitro-methane powered aircraft. • Turbine Engine - for turbine-powered aircraft. • Turboprop Engine - for turboprop-powered aircraft. • Unpowered - for sailplanes and gliders. RADIO TYPE- This setting determines which radio connection to use in the simulation. There are two Radio Type options are available to you: Software Radio and Pass Through. 114 • Chapter 7. To change the Radio Type, click on the existing Radio Type and select the desired radio from the drop-down list. For more information pertaining to the differences between the Software Radio and Pass Through modes, please refer to the chapter pertaining to the Controller menu. VEHICLE GRAPHICAL SCALE (%)- This value represents the actual visual scale of the model and is used to scale the model up or down visually. This has no effect on the physics of the simulation. To modify the Vehicle Graphical Scale, click the existing scale in the value box. Next, enter the desired values either directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel. Note: the Visual Graphics Scale does NOT affect the flight characteristics of the model. If you increase the size of an aircraft and would like to have it fly like the larger aircraft, adjust the Physics Dimension Scale to match. CURRENT GRAPHICAL WIDTH (READ ONLY)– This value represents the graphical width of your aircraft. This value cannot be adjusted manually. Instead, it corresponds to graphical changes in the wingspan. CURRENT MASS WITH CHILDREN (WET) (READ ONLY)– This value represents the total overall weight of the aircraft when it is ready for takeoff. This value cannot be adjusted manually.
