DEFLECTION CENTERED (DEG)-
This value determines the degree of deflection of the elevator when it is centered. In
most cases, you will set this value to zero.
To modify this value, click the existing value in the value box. Next, enter the
desired value either directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
DISTANCE TO TIP-
This value determines the distance from the end of the elevator to the tip of the wing
upon which it is situated.
To modify this value, click the existing value in the value box. Next, enter the
desired value either directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel. A value of
zero indicates that the elevator extends completely to the end of the wing. A value
that is greater than zero indicates that the elevator ends before the wing tip.
LENGTH-
This value represents the length of one of the elevator panels.
To modify the length of the elevator, click the existing value in the value box. Next,
enter the desired value either directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
MAXIMUM DEFLECTION (DEG)-
This setting controls the upward travel of the elevator. Please note: this value is
expressed in degrees. Higher values mean that the upward travel of the elevator will
increase as well.
To modify this setting, click the respective value box. Next, enter the desired value
directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
MINIMUM DEFLECTION (DEG)-
This setting adjusts the downward travel of the elevator. Please note: this value is
expressed in degrees. Higher negative values mean that the downward travel of the
elevator will increase as well.
To modify this setting, click the respective value box. Next, enter the desired value
directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
PERCENT OF CHORD AT ROOT (%)-
This value determines the percent of wing chord that the elevator occupies at the
position closest to the fuselage.
To modify the percentage of chord that the elevator accounts for, click the existing
value in the value box. Next, enter the desired value either directly from the
keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
PERCENT OF CHORD AT TIP (%)-
This value determines the percent of wing chord that the elevator occupies at the
wing tip.
