COMPONENT FRAME (RIGHT)-
This value represents the component frame of the item. In the case of the right skid,
the Component Frame is ~CS_RIGHTSKID. The components in a RealFlight G3
aircraft are assembled using a component-frame hierarchy.
Clicking on the respective value column will bring forth the pull-down menu
selection of the various Component Frames.
LOCATION IN PARENT-
This value represents the location of the item in regards to the parent or main object.
To modify the location of the item, click the existing value in the Value box. Next,
enter the desired value either directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
The X-axis value represents a movement, left or right, with regards to the parent
object. A negative value will shift the location to the left. A positive value will shift
the location to the right.
The value of the Y-axis represents a movement forward or backward with regards to
the parent object. A negative value shifts the location rearward. A positive value
shifts the location forward.
The Z-axis value is used to move the location up or down with regards to the parent.
A positive value will move the location up. A negative value will move the location
down.
ROTATION ABOUT Y (DEG)-
This value determines the angle of the skids on the helicopter at their attachment
point on the fuselage. Increasing the value causes the skids to spread out more.
To modify the angle, click the existing value in the value box. Next, enter the
desired value either directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
SKID HEIGHT-
This value determines the height of the skids as measured from the attachment point
on the helicopter.
To modify the height, click the existing value in the value box. Next, enter the
desired value either directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
SKID WIDTH-
This value determines the width of the skids. That is, the actual length of the skids.
To modify the width, click the existing value in the value box. Next, enter the
desired value either directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
STIFFNESS (%)-
This option allows you to determine the ‘springiness’ of the skids. Higher values
mean that the skids are relatively stiff. If your skids are ‘springy’, we suggest
lowering the values.
