To modify this setting, click the respective value. Next, input the desired value
directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
CYCLIC ROLL DEFLECTION (DEG)-
This setting indicates the amount of blade deflection caused by a full cyclic roll
input. A value of seven, for example, causes the blades to deflect seven degrees
positive and seven degrees negative. This assumes that there is 100% servo travel in
both directions.
To modify this setting, click the respective value. Next, input the desired value
directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
DELTA OFFSET (DEG)-
This setting represents the pitch degree per degree of flap. When the rotor blade
flaps up and down, the angle of attack (AOA) may change because of the mechanical
linkages between the hub and the rotor blade itself.
To determine this value, utilize a pitch gauge and measure the angle at full minimum
flap and again at full maximum flap of the blade. Divide by the total number of
degrees of flap of the blade. Usually this is a negative number that yields a
dampening effect. Positive numbers will make the helicopter more aggressive.
To modify this setting, click the respective value. Next, input the desired value
directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
DISTANCE FROM FLAP TO LEAD LAG-
This value represents the measurement of the distance from where the blade flaps
hinge to the lead lag bolt itself.
To modify this setting, click the respective value. Next, input the desired value
directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
DISTANCE FROM HUB CENTER TO FLAP HINGE-
This value represents the measurement of the distance from the center of the hub to
the flap hinge.
To modify this setting, click the respective value. Next, input the desired value
directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
FLAP ANGLE (MAX) (DEG)-
This value represents the maximum angle that the blades are allowed to flap freely,
in an upward direction, beyond the static coning angle before encountering resistance
from the hubs. For example, a value of five allows the blade to flap upward by five
degrees. Please note: helicopters that utilize damped flaps generally have a value of
zero. This is because the rotor blades will encounter resistance almost immediately.
To modify this setting, click the respective value. Next, input the desired value
directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
FLAP ANGLE (MIN) (DEG)-
This value represents the maximum angle that the blades are allowed to flap freely,
in a downward direction, beyond the static coning angle before encountering
