To make your selection, click the respective value box. Select either Yes or No from
the pull-down menu.
TAIL ROTOR VOLUME (%)-
This value determines the sound volume of the tail rotor blades. Please note: this
change does not impact the volume of the engine.
To modify this setting, click the respective value. Next, input the desired value
directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
TAIL TO MAIN ROTOR RATIO-
This value indicates the number of rotations that the tail rotor blades make in
comparison to the main blades. If the ratio is 6, this means that the tail rotor spins
six times for every one time that the main rotor blade rotates.
To modify this setting, click the respective value. Next, input the desired value
directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel.
VISUAL BLADE TYPE-
This setting determines the appearance of the tail rotor blades. G3 offers a number
of blades to select amongst, each with their own unique look. Please note: this is
only a graphical option. It will not affect the helicopter’s flight performance.
To select a new blade visual, click the value box for the existing profile. In the pulldown
menu, use either the Up/down arrow keys on the keyboard, or the mouse to
select the desired option. If using the arrow keys, press Enter to finalize your
selection.
CURRENT MASS OF SELF (READ ONLY)-
This indicates the mass of the tail rotor only. It does not include any of the child
components.
It is not possible to manually adjust this value. Rather, this value is controlled by the
various modifications made to the tailboom components, etc.
PIROUETTE DIRECTION (READ ONLY)-
Looking from the top of the helicopter, this value displays the direction the
helicopter will rotate with the current tail rotor deflection input from the radio.
HORIZONTAL FIN-
This component includes all the parameters for the horizontal fin and the option to
add or remove tail specific components.
To add items to the horizontal fin, or to eliminate it altogether, right click on the
horizontal fin directory. Next, select the desired option from the pull-down menu
that appears.
