To modify the opacity, click the existing value in the Value box. Next, enter the<br />

desired value either directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel. A larger<br />

value means that the smoke is thicker when it first appears on the screen.<br />

STARTING SIZE-<br />

This value defines the starting size of the smoke.<br />

To modify the starting size, click the existing value in the value box. Next, enter the<br />

desired value either directly from the keyboard or via the mouse wheel. A larger<br />

value increases the diameter of the smoke initially.<br />

SKIDS COMPONENT<br />

This component controls the behavior of skids on a helicopter. If you wish to make<br />

modifications to the skids settings of your aircraft, click the Skids option.<br />

If you wish to eliminate the skids from the aircraft, right click on the Skids<br />

component and click the Delete Component dialog that appears. Next, click Yes in<br />

the verification box.<br />

BREAKOFF TOGETHER-<br />

This option determines if the skids will fail simultaneously or if they will be treated a<br />

individual components.<br />

To determine whether the skids will be treated as one unit, click on the value. From<br />

the pull-down menu, select Yes if you wish to have the components fail<br />

simultaneously.<br />

COMPONENT FRAME (LEFT)-<br />

This value represents the component frame of the item. In the case of the left skid,<br />

the Component Frame is ~CS_LEFTSKID. The components in a <strong>RealFlight</strong> <strong>G3</strong><br />

aircraft are assembled using a component-frame hierarchy.<br />
