Rafiq-ul-Haramayn 101
is a large crowd on 10 th Żul-Ḥijjaĥ and it is not easy to perform
Ṭawāf-uz-Ziyāraĥ. However, the crowd thins out on 11 th and 12 th of
Żul-Ḥijjaĥ and one can perform Ṭawāf-uz-Ziyāraĥ without much
difficulty. It also becomes easy to perform Sa’ī.
Leaving for Minā
It is the 8 th night of Żul-Ḥijjaĥ. After Ṣalāt-ul-‘Ishā, excitement has
filled the air. Everybody is eager to move for Minā. Take the necessary
items, e.g. rosary, prayer-mat, compass, some utensils, water bottle
that can be hung around the neck, necessary medicines and address
of the Mu’allim. The address of the Mu’allim should always be
with you as it will prove to be beneficial in case of getting lost or,
Allah forbid, passing out or meeting an accident. If women are
accompanying you, they should have a green or any dark colour piece
of cloth sewn at the back of their veil so that they can be identified
in the crowd. Make them walk ahead of you especially in the crowd.
If you are ahead of them and they are left far behind, they can get lost.
Don’t forget to take money for meeting the expenses of Qurbānī,
meal etc. Don’t carry the cooker as it is prohibited. If possible, make
the journey to Minā, ‘Arafāt and Muzdalifaĥ on foot as 70 million
good deeds will be written for every step until your return to
Makka-tul-Mukarramaĥ.
‏َا‏ّٰ‏ ُ
و
‏ُوالۡ‏ ‏َضۡ‏
ذ ف لِ‏ الع ‏ِظي ‏ِم
Recite Talbiyaĥ and Ṣalāt-‘Alan-Nabī abundantly all the way. As soon
as Minā appears, recite Ṣalāt-‘Alan-Nabī and the following Du’ā:
َٰۤ
اَللّ‏ ‏ٰهُمَّ‏ هَذِ‏
‏َت بِ‎‏ٖ‏ بِمَا مَ‎‏َنْ‏ ََّ
مِ‏ ‏ًنى فَامْنُ‏ ‏ْن َ
‏َك اَوْلِيَآئِ‏
Translation: O Allah ! This is Minā. Bless me with the boon that you
bestowed upon Your Awliyā (beloveds).
