Rafiq-ul-Haramayn 116
Du’ā of ‘Arafāt (English) *
(Recite Labbayk and Ṣalāt-‘Alan-Nabī during Du’ā now and then.)
Raise both hands up to the level of either your chest or shoulders or
raise them above your head making your palms facing the sky. In all
these four conditions palms should be spread facing the sky because
the Qiblaĥ for Du’ā is sky. Now begin Du’ā like this:
اَلْحَ‏ مْدُ‏
يَاۤ‏
ط
لِلّ‏ ِٰ رَبِّ‏ الْعٰلَمِينْ‏ َ وَالصَّ‏ لٰوةُ‏ وَالسَّ‏ لاَ‏ مُ‏ َٰ ِ سَيّ‏ ‏ِد الْمُرْسَلِينْ‏ َ

‏ْر حَمَ‏ الرّ‏ ‏ٰحِمِينْ‏ َ ‏ٰحِمِينْ‏ َ ‏ٰحِمِينْ‏ َ
اَ‏
‏ْر حَمَ‏ الرّ‏ يَاۤ‏
اَ‏
‏ْر حَمَ‏ الرّ‏ يَاۤ‏
اَ‏
يَا رَبَّنَا يَا رَبَّنَا يَا رَبَّنَا يَا رَبَّنَا يَا رَبَّنَا 2
After you have made as many Māšūraĥ Du’ās in Arabic as you have
learnt by heart, express your feelings in your own mother tongue to
Allah Almighty with the firm belief that your Du’ās are being
accepted. Make Du’ā like this.
يَا يَا رَحْمٰ‏ ‏ُن يَا اَللّ‎‏ُ‏ ٰ

رَحِيْ‏ ‏ُم

The Holy Prophet ٖ
has said, ‘Allah has appointed an angel for the
َ ۡ
اَر الرَّامحِ‏ ِ ( name divine
ۡ ). Whosoever reads it three times, the angel calls out ‘Ask because
َ ۡ
اَر الرَّامحِ‏ ِ ني ‘ the
ۡ ’ has turned His divine attention towards you.’ (Aḥsan-ul-Wi’ā, pp. 70)

Sayyidunā Imām Ja’far Ṣādiq
has stated that whosoever says ( رَب ) five
times in helplessness, Allah will save him from what he is afraid of and will accept
his Du’ā. (Aḥsan-ul-Wi’ā, pp. 71)
