<strong>Rafiq</strong>-<strong>ul</strong>-<strong>Haramayn</strong> 116<br />

Du’ā of ‘Arafāt (English) *<br />

(Recite Labbayk and Ṣalāt-‘Alan-Nabī during Du’ā now and then.)<br />

Raise both hands up to the level of either your chest or sho<strong>ul</strong>ders or<br />

raise them above your head making your palms facing the sky. In all<br />

these four conditions palms sho<strong>ul</strong>d be spread facing the sky because<br />

the Qiblaĥ for Du’ā is sky. Now begin Du’ā like this:<br />

اَلْحَ‏ مْدُ‏<br />

يَاۤ‏<br />

ط<br />

لِلّ‏ ِٰ رَبِّ‏ الْعٰلَمِينْ‏ َ وَالصَّ‏ لٰوةُ‏ وَالسَّ‏ لاَ‏ مُ‏ َٰ ِ سَيّ‏ ‏ِد الْمُرْسَلِينْ‏ َ<br />

‏ْر حَمَ‏ الرّ‏ ‏ٰحِمِينْ‏ َ ‏ٰحِمِينْ‏ َ ‏ٰحِمِينْ‏ َ<br />

اَ‏<br />

‏ْر حَمَ‏ الرّ‏ يَاۤ‏<br />

اَ‏<br />

‏ْر حَمَ‏ الرّ‏ يَاۤ‏<br />

اَ‏<br />

يَا رَبَّنَا يَا رَبَّنَا يَا رَبَّنَا يَا رَبَّنَا يَا رَبَّنَا 2<br />

After you have made as many Māšūraĥ Du’ās in Arabic as you have<br />

learnt by heart, express your feelings in your own mother tongue to<br />

Allah Almighty with the firm belief that your Du’ās are being<br />

accepted. Make Du’ā like this.<br />

يَا يَا رَحْمٰ‏ ‏ُن يَا اَللّ‎‏ُ‏ ٰ<br />

رَحِيْ‏ ‏ُم<br />

The Holy Prophet ٖ <br />

<br />

<br />

has said, ‘Allah has appointed an angel for the<br />

َ ۡ<br />

اَر الرَّامحِ‏ ِ ( name divine<br />

ۡ ). Whosoever reads it three times, the angel calls out ‘Ask because<br />

َ ۡ<br />

اَر الرَّامحِ‏ ِ ني ‘ the<br />

ۡ ’ has turned His divine attention towards you.’ (Aḥsan-<strong>ul</strong>-Wi’ā, pp. 70)<br />

Sayyidunā Imām Ja’far Ṣādiq <br />

<br />

has stated that whosoever says ( رَب ) five<br />

times in helplessness, Allah will save him from what he is afraid of and will accept<br />

his Du’ā. (Aḥsan-<strong>ul</strong>-Wi’ā, pp. 71)<br />
