is permissible while performing it from sunset to Ṣubḥ-e-Ṣādiq<br />

is Makruĥ. However, if there is some valid reason, it will not be<br />

Makruĥ. For example, a shepherd may perform Ramī at night.<br />

Ramī by <strong><strong>Islami</strong>c</strong> sisters<br />

It is seen that <strong><strong>Islami</strong>c</strong> brothers perform Ramī on behalf of women<br />

without any valid reason. In this way, <strong><strong>Islami</strong>c</strong> sisters remain deprived<br />

of this important act. Further, since Ramī is Wājib, Dam also becomes<br />

Wājib for them due to missing a Wājib. Therefore, <strong><strong>Islami</strong>c</strong> sisters<br />

sho<strong>ul</strong>d perform Ramī with their own hands.<br />

Ramī by the ill<br />

Some Ḥujjāj are seen roaming around everywhere freely, but when<br />

it comes to performing Ramī, they use some minor ailment as an<br />

excuse to nominate someone else to perform it on their behalf.<br />

Ramī on behalf of the ill Hajj pilgrims<br />

If the deputed person has not yet performed his own Ramī he sho<strong>ul</strong>d<br />

first perform his own Ramī and then perform the Ramī of the ill<br />

person who has deputed him. If he performs Ramī seven times in<br />

such a manner that he throws one stone for his own Ramī and one<br />

for the ill person, this is Makrūĥ. If he performs Ramī on behalf of a<br />

patient without his authorization, Ramī will not be valid. If the<br />

patient is so weak that he cannot perform Ramī, it is better that his
