10. If a Muḥrim is naturally bald, it is still Wājib for him to run a<br />

razor on his head. (‘Ālamgīrī, vol. 1, pp. 231)<br />

11. If the head of a Muḥrim cannot be shaved due to sores or<br />

wounds on his head, nor does he have hair long enough to be<br />

cut, he is no longer required to get his hair shaved or trimmed<br />

on account of this comp<strong>ul</strong>sion. He will be considered to have<br />

been out of the restrictions of Iḥrām like those who have got<br />

their hair shaved or trimmed. However, it is still better for him to<br />

remain in the state of Iḥrām till the days of sacrifice end. (ibid)<br />

12. It is Sunnaĥ to do Ḥalq or Qaṣr in Minā whereas it is Wājib to<br />

do it within Ḥaram. If it is done out of the limits of Ḥaram,<br />

Dam will become Wājib.<br />

13. Keep reciting the following Takbīr during Ḥalq or Taqṣīr. Recite<br />

it also after the Ḥalq or Taqṣīr.<br />

ا َ ‏ْکبرَ‏ ُ<br />

ا ‏َللّ‏ ُٰ ا َ ‏ْکبرَ‏ ُ<br />

ط<br />

ا ‏َللّ‏ ُٰ<br />

ط<br />

ا َ ‏ْکبرَ‏ ُ لِلّ‏ ِٰ<br />

لاَ‏ اِل َٰ اللّ‏ ُٰ<br />

اِلاَّ‏<br />

وَ‏ اللّ‏ ُٰ<br />

ط<br />

ا َ ‏ْکبرَ‏ ُ<br />

ا ‏َللّ‏ ُٰ<br />

ط<br />

وَ‏<br />

الْحَ‏<br />

ط<br />

‏ُد<br />

14. After the Ḥalq or Taqṣīr is done, recite the following Du’ā with<br />

Ṣalāt-‘Alan-Nabī once before and after it.<br />

ا ‏َللّ‏ ‏ٰهُ‏ مَّ‏<br />

ا َ ‏ْثبِ‏ ‏ْت لىِ‏ ْ<br />

ِ لِ‎‏ُلّ‏ شَ‏<br />

‏ْع رَ‏ ةٍ‏ حَ‏ سَ‏ نَ‏<br />

‏ًة<br />

وَّ‏ ا ‏ْمحُ‏ عَ‏ نىِّ‏ ْ<br />

بِهَ‏ ا سَ‏ ِ ‏ّئَ‏<br />

‏ًة<br />

فَ‏ ‏ْع<br />

وَّارْ‏<br />

لىِ‏<br />

بِهَ‏ ا عِ‏ ‏ْندَ‏ كَ‏ دَرَجَ‏ ‏ًة<br />

ط<br />

Translation: O Allah ! Record one virtue for me for every hair<br />

and remove one sin, and raise one rank of mine in Your court.<br />
