Ziyārāt (holy sites) in Makka-t<strong>ul</strong>-Mukarramaĥ<br />

Birthplace of Holy Prophet<br />

‘Allāmaĥ Quṭbuddīn ۡ ۡ <br />

has said: The Du’ā made at the<br />

birthplace of the Holy Prophet ٖ <br />

<br />

is accepted. An easy<br />

way to get there is to exit via any of the adjacent doors of the mount<br />

Marwaĥ. In front of the doors is a big space for Ṣalāĥ-offering<br />

people. This sacred house is situated on the other side of the space<br />

and will appear from distance, . The mother of S<strong>ul</strong>tan<br />

Ĥārūn Rashīd ۡ<br />

had a Masjid constructed on this spot<br />

but this extremely sacred house has now been converted into a<br />

Madrasaĥ and library. A board with the writing<br />

‘Maktabaĥ Makka-tal-Mukarramaĥ’ is on display here.<br />

Jabal Abū Qubays<br />

ة<br />

م ۡ ‏َك تَبَ‏<br />

ة<br />

م ‏َكَّةَ‏ ال ۡ مُكَرَّمَ‏<br />

This is the first mountain of the world. It lies outside Masjid-<strong>ul</strong>-<br />

Ḥarām near Ṣafā and Marwaĥ. The Du’ā made at this mountain is<br />

accepted. The people of Makkaĥ when affected by droughts used to<br />

come here and make Du’ā. It is stated in a Ḥadīš that Ḥajar-<strong>ul</strong>-Aswad<br />

descended onto it from Paradise. (Attarghīb Wattarĥīb, vol. 2, pp. 125, Ḥadīš 30)<br />

This mountain is also referred to as ‘Al-Amīn’ as Ḥajar-<strong>ul</strong>-Aswad<br />

remained intact over it during the storm of Sayyidunā Nūḥ. On the
