Question: Can the ritual stay in ‘Arafāt be carried out at the night<br />

of 10 th Ż<strong>ul</strong>-Ḥijjaĥ<br />

Answer: Yes. The stip<strong>ul</strong>ated time for the ritual stay in ‘Arafāt<br />

is from the commencement of the timing of Ẓuĥr of 9 th Ż<strong>ul</strong>-Ḥijjaĥ<br />

to the commencement of the timing of Fajr of 10 th Ż<strong>ul</strong>-Ḥijjaĥ.<br />

Question and answer about ritual stay in Muzdalifaĥ<br />

Question: If a person has no worry, when sho<strong>ul</strong>d he leave for Minā<br />

from Muzdalifaĥ<br />

Answer: He sho<strong>ul</strong>d leave when only as much time is left in the<br />

sunset as two Rak’āt Ṣalāĥ can be offered (with a Sunnaĥ-conforming<br />

manner of recitation of Quran and other Ażkār etc.) To stay till sunset<br />

is contrary to a Sunnat-<strong>ul</strong>-Muakkadaĥ and it is disliked to do so but<br />

no Dam etc. is Wājib. However, if a person left for Minā but was<br />

stuck in the crowd and the sun set whilst he was still in Muzdalifaĥ,<br />

he will not be considered to have missed the Sunnaĥ. (This answer is<br />
