at the Hebron school house, was well
attmded and a good program given, kept the faith and in the 25th verse
Miss Ruth Jamison was awarded the Joshua saved Rahab the harlot
Mr, John Porter met With an
accident that proved fatal while assisting
in the construction of a silo
at the John Greenley home, Mr. Porter
was at one time a member of our
by our pastor. The services
were largely attended. Our Sabbath
School attendance recently reached
the one hundred mark. Miss Olive
(Continued from page 8.)
the roll call of the heroes in the
nth chapter of Heb. "By faith Rahab
the harlot perished not with
them that believed not when she
had received the spies with peace."
She is also mentioned in James to
prove that faith without works is
dead. He says', "Was not Rahab
of 'her faith but she did prove her
iissfis Pritchard and White faith by her works. She took the
spies under her protection and
guarded them safely till they departed.
She was aware of the fact
t'lat in order to escape the destruction
of the city she must do more
than merely profess faith in God,
She must bind the scarlet line in
the window as a symbol of her
faith. If the cord had not appeared
it would have been evidence
that she did not believe in
the destruction of the city and to
doubt this would have been to
doubt God's word. Her faith led
her to act .and 'her act proved her
faith. Her faith was practical. Let
us put our faith into practice. Let
ns live the faith we profess,
made with Rahab there is the reward
set forth for her faithfulness.
