Under the direction of Mr. L. M.
Sabbath School has made a very good
record, both for attendance and character
of work done. Special attention
is being given by some of the classes
to the study of the Shorter Catechism,
not merely committing the questions,
but a careful study of their teaching.
The young people also meet each Sabba,th
evening for one hour preceding
the preaching service for the study
of the distinctive teaching of our own
church. We ure now studying the
"Reformed Presbyterian 'Catechism'"
authorized by the Synod in 1912. The
pastor has charge of this work. Wednesday
evening prayer meetings are
well attended and are an interesting
Santa Ana, Los Angeles and other
places. These all attend our services
with a good degree of regularity, and
the evening of June 29th, the Geneva
Glee Club was greeted by a large and
appreciative audience. The programe,
which was a lively one from
start to finish, was enthusiastically
received. We had been anticipating
an enjoyable evening and were not
disappointed. Winchester feels a special
interest in the Club, as three of
its members, Messrs. White, Smith
of the contest, Mr. Paul White, will
represent us in the contest held at
the Presbyterian Convention, which
meets at Stafford, August 18-20. Miss
Elma French will also be a delegate
to the convention. We greatly appreciate
in our Young People's Society,
the presence of students and
