Healthcare Research Centres
B.C. has at least 60 healthcare research centres that conduct research to aid disease/ health management.
The number of centres focused on each disease or population type are illustrated in Figure 14
while details can be found in Appendix 9. Twenty-four centres are disease-based, while 14 focus on
specific populations (e.g., children, youth, women, the elderly, aboriginals).
