in some cases the data on european and international statistics on <strong>en</strong>ergy supply and the use of r<strong>en</strong>ewable <strong>en</strong>ergy in germany<br />

differs from the information in german sources. apart from differ<strong>en</strong>ces in the origin of the data, differ<strong>en</strong>t accounting<br />

methods also play a role here.<br />

For consist<strong>en</strong>cy reasons, the data from the international statistics are used for germany in this “european” section. as a rule,<br />

however, the more detailed information from national sources on the preceding pages is more reliable.
