4. An advance matriculation fee of $25 (not refundable). The matriculation<br />

fee may be applied to the account of the student or the account<br />

of a member of the immediate family for a period of two semesters<br />

following the date of payment.<br />

5. An advance housing fee of $100. Rooms are not assigned until the<br />

acceptance becomes official. (This is refundable within thirty days<br />

prior to registration.)<br />

6. Any applicant born after January 1, 1957, must provide documented<br />

proof of receiving two (2) MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccinations<br />

given after 12 months of age. (Collected after acceptance.)<br />

7. Proof of a Tuberculin PPD skin test taken within a one-year period<br />

prior to the date of admission application. (Collected after acceptance.)<br />

When the above regulations have been completed, a student will be<br />

notified of his/her acceptance or rejection by the Office of Admissions.<br />

The university may refuse admission and registration to students not<br />

meeting the minimum requirements for college, or may admit them on<br />

probation for limited work. The admissions policies are reviewed annually<br />

by the Admission and Retention Committee.<br />

GED Equivalency Certification<br />

Applicants who have not completed high school will be required to<br />

take the General Education Development tests. These tests cover<br />

English, natural science, social sciences, literature, and mathematics.<br />

The tests are given in many major cities throughout the nation. With an<br />

average score of 50 or above, one may apply for admission. For details<br />

concerning the use of the General Education Development tests for<br />

entrance to college, contact: Director of Admissions, <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong>,<br />

Advanced Academic Work for Credit<br />

Superior students with advanced work in high school are encouraged<br />

to work at more advanced academic levels.<br />

All university academic credit will be granted on the basis of acceptable<br />

documentation under the following conditions.<br />

1. At least one semester of work (12 semester hours) must be completed<br />

at <strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong> before credit earned by testing will be recorded<br />

on the transcript.<br />

2. Credit earned by testing will be designated on the transcript by a<br />

grade of “P” (Pass).<br />

3. A maximum of 32 semester hours can be earned by advanced testing.<br />

ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP COURSES)<br />

<strong>Lee</strong> <strong>University</strong> will accept a score of three or above on the Advanced<br />

Placement Tests of the College Entrance Examination Board. Students
