System overview1.2 CD-K systemConnection methodThe assembly of the trunking units as well as the feeder units is implemented by astraightforward and unmistakable plug-in connection. The PE path is establishedautomatically when the housings are connected. An interlock mechanism engages whenconnecting the trunking units as well as the feeder units <strong>with</strong> the end caps. Two fixingsprevent a loosening of the connections. No expansion compensation is required.Figure 1-3Connection method CD-K systemTap-off plugsInsulated enclosed tap-off plugs enable access to the current supply via tap-off points on thetrunking units. They can be connected and disconnected by hand.Figure 1-4Tap-off plugs CD-K systemFixing and mountingThe tap-off plugs are available in 3 and 5-pole versions, <strong>with</strong> and <strong>with</strong>out fuse as well as <strong>with</strong>connecting cables or plastic cable sleeves.The trunking unit profile allows attachment of fixing brackets which are also used forinstalling lighting fittings. They can be attached to any position of the trunking unit.
