The short-circuit rating of the LDA/LDC, LXA/LXC and LRCbusbar trunking systems is usually higher than the values for the transformer's sustained andpeak short-circuit currents. However, this only applies if just a single transformer is used forthe low-voltage supply. Higher short-circuit values are possible on ring or meshed networksor if transformers are connected in parallel in a low-voltage switchgear assembly. Suchscenarios must therefore be given special consideration.
