As shown <strong>in</strong> Figure 3.12 force transducers K1 to<br />

K4 allow to measure the static and the dynamic<br />

forces <strong>in</strong> the conductor span and onto the mid<br />

portal. Material stra<strong>in</strong> is measured at the same<br />

stra<strong>in</strong> gauge measur<strong>in</strong>g po<strong>in</strong>ts as for the static<br />

tests.<br />

<strong>The</strong> calculation was performed for the first 4s <strong>of</strong><br />

the conductor fall process. As an example for the<br />

very good agreement between calculation and<br />

test results, Figure 3.18 and Figure 3.19 compare<br />

the calculated and measured oscillograms,<br />

together with the respective maximum values <strong>of</strong><br />

the tension forces K2, K3 and the selected<br />

material stra<strong>in</strong> at D 17 for the case A, i.e. without<br />

counterweights.<br />

From the comparison <strong>of</strong> the calculated and measured<br />

oscillograms and maximum values <strong>of</strong> forces and<br />

material stra<strong>in</strong>s, as well as <strong>of</strong> the ESL-factors, it is<br />

possible to speak <strong>of</strong> a very good agreement between<br />

calculation and measurement [Ref 49].
