190Sustainable Development strategy of business envi<strong>ro</strong>nment f<strong>ro</strong>m Dolj, Olt, Pleven, Vidin and Montana regionnian part f<strong>ro</strong>m the analysed c<strong>ro</strong>ss-bor<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>de</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>r region) will support us in the context in which evolves the business sectorin the region, helping to contour a clear image regarding the method th<strong>ro</strong>ugh which the local economy is supportedby these public policies. Therefore, until 2013, a part of the available structural funds for Romania (e.g. RegionalOperational P<strong>ro</strong>gramme) can be accessed at regional level, and the valuation of the p<strong>ro</strong>posed p<strong>ro</strong>jects will passth<strong>ro</strong>ugh a regional evaluation. There are consi<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>de</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>r priority those p<strong>ro</strong>jects that p<strong>ro</strong>pose solution to local and regionalp<strong>ro</strong>blems and contribute to the accomplishment of strategic objectives of the region.Th<strong>ro</strong>ugh the Regional Operational P<strong>ro</strong>gramme is established the <st<strong>ro</strong>ng>de</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>velopment strategy on g<strong>ro</strong>wth poles andurban <st<strong>ro</strong>ng>de</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>velopment poles 12 . Thus, for Dolj county, we i<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>de</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>ntify one of the seven g<strong>ro</strong>wth poles at national level, Craiovamunicipality, that can significantly influence the <st<strong>ro</strong>ng>de</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>velopment strategy at the region level. Th<strong>ro</strong>ugh GD 998/2008Craiova was <st<strong>ro</strong>ng>de</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>signated, besi<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>de</st<strong>ro</strong>ng> Brașov, Cluj-Napoca, Constanța, Iași, Ploiești and Timișoara and obtained access toprioritary investments f<strong>ro</strong>m Eu<strong>ro</strong>pean and national funds.The available funds for g<strong>ro</strong>wth poles are accessed th<strong>ro</strong>ugh an Intercommunitary Development Association 13 .For this are ma<st<strong>ro</strong>ng>de</st<strong>ro</strong>ng> at the disposal financing for investments th<strong>ro</strong>ugh priority axis 1 „ Support to sustainable <st<strong>ro</strong>ng>de</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>velopmentof urban g<strong>ro</strong>wth poles” of Regional Operational P<strong>ro</strong>gramme 2007 – 2013 (ROP).Also, are th<strong>ro</strong>ugh ROP are envisaged urban centres represented by towns/municipalities with over 10.000 inhabitants,other than the g<strong>ro</strong>wth poles and urban <st<strong>ro</strong>ng>de</st<strong>ro</strong>ng>velopment poles.
