<strong>DIIMS</strong> END USER TRAINING GUIDE3.1.2 Editing Documents Offline<strong>DIIMS</strong> enables users to download a copy to a local drive for editing in the<strong>of</strong>fline mode. Once editing is complete, the document may be uploaded to<strong>DIIMS</strong> as a new version.Edit a document <strong>of</strong>fline when you want to:• save a copy to a local drive (e.g. from which to work when you areaway from the <strong>of</strong>fice);• work within an application that cannot be launched directly from<strong>DIIMS</strong>; <strong>and</strong>/or• collaborate with GNWT employees who are not using <strong>DIIMS</strong> yet(ie: download document to J:\)To edit a document <strong>of</strong>fline:1. In <strong>DIIMS</strong>, navigate to the document you want to edit, <strong>and</strong> click on Functions> Reserve. The Reserve page appears. See Figure 3-7.
