DIIMS END USER TRAINING GUIDE3.1.2 Editing Documents OfflineDIIMS enables users to download a copy to a local drive for editing in theoffline mode. Once editing is complete, the document may be uploaded toDIIMS as a new version.Edit a document offline when you want to:• save a copy to a local drive (e.g. from which to work when you areaway from the office);• work within an application that cannot be launched directly fromDIIMS; and/or• collaborate with GNWT employees who are not using DIIMS yet(ie: download document to J:\)To edit a document offline:1. In DIIMS, navigate to the document you want to edit, and click on Functions> Reserve. The Reserve page appears. See Figure 3-7. If Reserve does notappear on the menu, you do not have Edit permissions.Figure 3-7: the Reserve page2. In the Options window, click “Download document to local drive” .
