The <strong>EFTA</strong> <strong>Court</strong> was set up under the Agreement on the European<br />

Economic Area (the EEA Agreement) of 2 May 1992. The EEA Agreement<br />

entered into force on 1 January 1994. The <strong>EFTA</strong> <strong>Court</strong> is composed of<br />

three judges. The <strong>EFTA</strong> States which are parties to the EEA Agreement are<br />

iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.<br />

This report contains information on the <strong>EFTA</strong> <strong>Court</strong> and the<br />

administration of the <strong>Court</strong> for the period from 1 January <strong>2011</strong> to<br />

31 December <strong>2011</strong>. in addition, it has a short section on the Judges<br />

and the staff and the <strong>Court</strong>’s activities in <strong>2011</strong>.<br />

The report includes the full texts of the decisions of the <strong>EFTA</strong> <strong>Court</strong> as<br />

well as the reports for the hearing prepared by the Judge-Rapporteurs<br />

during this period. This <strong>Report</strong> also contains an index of decisions<br />

printed in prior editions of the <strong>EFTA</strong> <strong>Court</strong> <strong>Report</strong>.<br />
