Error handling Syntax If the RAISE instruction is present in a routine’s error handler, program execution continues in the error handler of the routine that called the routine in question. The same error number remains active. If the RAISE instruction is present in a trap routine, the error is dealt with by the system’s error handler. If the error number is out of range, the system variable ERRNO is set to ERR_ILLRAISE (see "Data types - errnum"). This error can be handled in the error handler.
