Hygiene control. Smooth cleanable finishes may be required to facilitate a clean room.
Ventilation. The services may form an integral part of the suspended ceiling unit.
Where services are concealed within the ceiling, they may need additional support.
Each piece of plant can be individually tied to the building structure.
Heating, air conditioning, illumination. The luminaires may be surface mounted or
independently supported from the structure. The ceiling may also be used to control
the amount of light reflected and diffused into the room.
