Career Information Event:The “Career Days Organization
Commission” functions in our faculty to plan, organize and run
the Career Days event.The task of this commission is to organize
career days events for our students and graduates at regular intervals
during the year, where physicians with careers in different fields
are invited. In addition to our relevant term coordinators, advisor
faculty members also guide our students in academic consultancy.
When our students want to learn more about education abroad
and about postgraduate education, they are directed to the Foreign
Relations and Projects Coordinator and the Institute of Health
Sciences.Our students are informed about the programs by Farabi
and Erasmus coordinators of our faculty and they are encouraged
to participate in exchange programs.Our students from different
terms voluntarily participate in some of the studies planned by
our faculty members, and in these studies, our faculty members
provide consultancy to our students in scientific research.

Social, Cultural, Artistic and Sportive Opportunities:In
addition to the fields in which our students study, many student
communities that are related to their hobbies and encourage them
to develop their personal talents actively operate at our university.
The activities organized by student communities both stimulate
social life and create a chance for them to interact, share and
communicate correctly.
With the elective courses in the curriculum of our faculty, social,
cultural and sports opportunities are provided to our students in
various fields.Mersin University Faculty of Medicine Scientific
Research Society (MÜTBAT) organizes scientific studies and
meetings under the consultancy of a faculty member.Our faculty
students participate in social responsibility projects through young
TEMA and Blood Donation Volunteers, TürkMSIC, MÜTBAT,
MEÜTF Art Club and Leyla’dan Sonra student communities.
In our faculty, “Social and Cultural Activities Commission” is
serving. The commission provides consultancy to our students
in the planning of social, cultural and sports activities of our
students and in the work of publishing Streskop, which is our
students’ culture, art and humor magazine.Culture and Sports
Festival is traditionally held at Mersin University between April
and May every year to contribute to cultural and social life. In
the festivals organized with the active participation of students,
various conferences, panels, theater and dance performances,
concerts, films and slide shows take place; stands, competitions,
stand-up shows and tournaments help students to relax and have
fun.
In the library located in the Basic Medical Sciences building of our
faculty, there are reading rooms for our students and a hall that
they can use as a social area.Some of the books and periodicals
from medical and non-medical fields suitable for the use of
students in the Central Library of our university are located in our
faculty library.In addition, there is a computer room in the Dean’s
building serving our students.
Postgraduate Education Opportunities
Specialization in medicine and minor specialty training in
medicine carried out within the scope of the Regulation on
Specialization Training in Medicine and Dentistry.
Under the Graduate Education Regulation, undergraduate
and doctorate education carried out with the programs of the
departments of the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Basic
Medical Sciences, affiliated with the Institute of Health Sciences.
