FACULTY OF EDUCATION<br />
General Information<br />
Faculty of Education was established by Decree No. 99/12444 dated 16.02.1999. In its establishment, 5<br />
Departments and 3 Departments, namely Primary Education, Educational Sciences, Foreign Language Education,<br />
Turkish Education and Computer and Instructional Technologies Education, were opened without students. As<br />
a result of the studies carried out by the Council of Higher Education and the Ministry of National Education<br />
together, the Education Faculties were restructured to train teachers in the quality and quantity required by the<br />
Ministry of National Education. The number of undergraduate programs, which are open is, 9. During the Fall<br />
semester of the 2019 academic year, our student population has reached to 2448.<br />
Postgraduate education is carried out in 6 programs of our faculty. 10 departments are with thesis; 4<br />
departments are non-thesis; 1 of them is a distant education non-thesis program; 2 of them are night classes. The<br />
teaching is in the form of a master’s program in 14 departments, 2 departments with no thesis. In addition, PhD<br />
programs are carried out in 5 departments.
